Job Overview

TSA is seeking a skilled and experienced Finance and Administration Officer. In this role, the officer will also be the primary point of contact for both internal and external auditors, facilitating effective communication and ensuring all auditing processes are conducted efficiently and in compliance with regulatory standards. This position requires close collaboration with various department heads and plays a key role in shaping the financial and administrative strategies at TSA.

The Finance and Administration Officer will report directly to the Programs and Operations Manager. This position involves close collaboration with various department heads, and will be a part of the team that shapes financial and administrative strategies at TSA.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management:

  1. Oversee financial operations, including managing budgets of up to TZS 1 Billion, ensuring adherence to organisational and governmental financial policies.

  2. Implement and manage robust expenditure monitoring systems, providing detailed monthly variance analyses and actionable recommendations to management.

  3. Prepare and manage proposal budgets, aligning them with TSA's strategic objectives and operational plans.

  4. Meticulously manage TSA's cash flow requirements to facilitate the smooth operation of our projects and initiatives.

Accounting Functions:

  1. Establish and maintain strong banking relationships, ensuring the efficient management of TSA’s financial resources.

  2. Conduct regular and comprehensive audits and spot checks to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.

  3. Efficiently manage debtors and creditors, ensuring transparency and timeliness in all financial transactions.

  4. Work closely with relevant teams to ensure a consistent and accurate alignment between stock reports and accounting records.

Administrative Duties

  1. Manage all aspects of office administration, including landlord relations, workspace planning, and replenishing office supplies.

  2. Maintain contracts with utility providers to ensure the smooth operation of TSA offices.

  3. Supervise accommodation and transport arrangements, ensuring they are efficient and cost-effective.
