Qualifications

Holder of Bachelor’s degree in commerce (Accounting major), accounting or advanced diploma in accountancy or equivalent. Must have knowledge of ICT application including MS-office and accounting packages

Experience

Minimum of three years relevant work experience in accounting and finance.

Duties and responsibilities

         i.            To review for accuracy and proper posting all recorded for all payments and receipts made by the fund;

       ii.            To ensure proper calculation, approval by management, recording, and remittance of statutory and other deductions at dates and time spelled in respective provisions and contracts;

      iii.            Maintain the register of operator’s records on all the receipts and revenue’s collections against the billing records;

     iv.            Maintain update records of debtor’s aging analysis and propose necessary recovery actions for long overdue or defaulters of sevice levy and other interest of the fund;

       v.            Maintain update records of debtor’s recovery provision based on the fund’s approved accounting policy for doubtful debts impairment method;

     vi.            Propose for appropriate actions to supervisor on defaults for staff imprest and staff loans;

    vii.            Prepare monthly report on areas of responsibility;

  viii.            To review all banking and cheque collection and update the subsidiary ledgers for each client;

     ix.            Handling of petty cash for proper documentation support for each replenishment cycle, and

To carry out any other duties as assigned from time to time by supervisor.
