CARE Tanzania seeks to recruit a qualified Tanzanian for an upcoming USAID multisectoral nutrition program. The program aims to scale up an integrative nutrition intervention to improve the nutritional status of reproductive age women and children under five in four regions in central Tanzania. Building government capacity, promoting behavior change and increasing access to nutritional foods are key program results areas. The position is pending funding.
Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL) Director based in Iringa
Job Purpose: CARE is seeking a Food Security and Livelihoods(FSL) Director. The FSL Director who will be responsible for leading the component of the program focused on increasing access and availability to nutritious foods to households and communities with a specific focus on women and children. The FSL will also lead development and implementation of plans And activities to ensure the program is adopting the best practices, proactively learning, generating robust evidence, driving innovation and at the technical forefront in nutrition focused FSL.
You should have a masters degree in the relevant field and at least 6 years experience in leading food security and livelihood programming, a minimum of three years of which included a strong focus on nutrition and access to nutrition of foods. USAID experience and from work in a central region of Tanzania desired.
