MS TCDC is a development training Centre and civil society hub which actively engage its stakeholders in sustaining and succeeding popular struggles for a more democratic world. MS TCDC is now seeking for two internship positions for a GRAPHICS/VIDEO EDITOR & SOCIAL MEDIA and SALES/MARKETING PERSON to join our team of experts while gaining valuable and marketable experience.
Graphics/Video Editor & Social media Intern (1 Post)
The Social and Digital Media Intern will play an active role of development of MS TCDC digital, Brand and online community. Under the supervision of the Public relations and Sales Officer, the intern will maintain MS TCDC presence on various social media platforms and help create and publish content that is relevant to our customer base.
Responsibilities
- Updates all MS TCDC Social media accounts timely as planned and introduce new ones.
- Performs research to find articles, stories, resources, or other content that is relevant to our customer base and posts them on our social networks in a manner that invites conversation and interaction.
- Updates social media accounts with current and relevant photos, video, or other content from MS TCDC activities and events.
- Grow MS TCDC online social networks by increasing fan-base and interactions.
- Redesigning official documents layouts.
- Translates ideas into the effective design – including print, digital, (some) web, identity, and more.
- Capture interesting photos for various activities.
- Organizes digital images according to purpose (print or web) and designated program categories.
- Filming short videos
- Editing and compressing videos for online and offline usage.
- Uploading and sharing relevant videos
Candidates Profile
- A Diploma or Degree in Business Administration/Marketing and Public Relations, International Relations, Commerce, Graphic designing or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
- Conversant with Microsoft applications, basic photo editing and video editing software, and internet, browsers. Experience with Photoshop and InDesign a plus.
- Familiarity with a mainstream social media platform.
Attributes and key skills
- Strong communication skills and fluent in English and Kiswahili, both verbal and written. Any other language skills are considered an asset.
- High level of cross-cultural skills and flexibility to work in a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural team.
- Excellent computer skills and experience with Navision and Social Media is considered a strong asset
- Service-oriented, professional demeanor and congenial nature.
- Works in a timely manner with high quality in delivery and attention to detail.
Terms and conditions:
The internship positions above will be based at the MS TCDC in Usa River, Arusha, Tanzania. The internship is offered under MS TCDC Internship Policy with initial contract of three (3) months and a possibility of extension for the maximum of one (1) year depending on the future programmatic focus and programmatic needs of MS TCDC. It is unpaid internships however, MS TCDC provides lunch and minimum allowance to cover transport.
