POSITION: Head of Finance 

INDUSTRY: Banking - Letshego Faidika Bank 

REPORTS TO: CEO 

JOB LOCATION: Dar es Salaam 

JOB PURPOSE 

The role holder will be responsible for creating forecasting models, assessing risk in investments, managing budgets and ensuring all accounting activities comply with regulations. Ultimately, he/she will maintain the bank's financial health and increase profitability in the long run. 

PREFERRED EDUCATION 

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 
• Masters's Degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting or a related field is beneficial.
• Professional certifications (e.g. CPA) is a plus. 

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

• 10 years proven experience as a head of finance or a similar management position.
• At least 5 years banking experience. 
• Solid understanding of financial management and accounting principals.
• Proficiency in financial software, accounting systems, and Microsoft Office suite.
• In-depth understanding of cash flow management, bank reconciliation and bookkeeping 
• Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting models 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Forecasting financial results. 
• Overseeing the budgets. 
• Conducting risk management. 
• Evaluating and initiating investments. 
• Allocating resources and managing finances. 
• Recommending cost reduction strategies. 
• Conducting profit and cost analyses.
