Job Purpose/Mission 

The Head of Global Talent Acquisition will be responsible for designing recruitment improvements and execute the recruitment strategy and systems we need to attract, screen, and hire high-performing talent in key roles across EEA. The Head of Recruitment will lead the recruitment of talented, passionate, and mission-driven individuals to join EEA and help us execute our goals.  This includes recruitment of highly technical or specialized roles and senior level recruitment for positions based in Africa, Europe and China.  The Head of Recruitment will supervise the recruitment team and provide hiring advise to senior leaders on recruitment, interviewing, best practices and employer branding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop tools, systems and processes for nimble, rigorous and best practice recruitment.
  • Work with EEA leaders to develop and implement global recruitment efforts for global roles and select senior level country roles by creating annual hiring plans, budgets, identifying tools for use and developing head hunting strategies.
  • Manage the global recruitment team by monitoring all global team end to end recruitment activities and ensure constant iteration for excellent internal (hiring managers) and external (candidates) stakeholder experience.
  • Oversee the analysis, tracking and reporting of key recruitment metrics to re-direct the recruitment team’s strategy.
  • Develop and implement strategies that build the employer brand to external stakeholders: candidates, recruitment agencies, schools, other organisations, etc.
  • Support the integration of EEA recruitment tools and systems into ENGIE’s tools
  • Work on diversity and inclusion efforts for EEA.
  • Work with all global teams across EEA markets (9 countries in Africa, 3 countries in Europe and Chna) to ensure the usage of the ATS and recruitment tools for all hiring.
  • Participate or Lead other Talent initiatives and projects for example job grading, succession planning, career pathing,

Knowledge and skills 

Experience :

  • Minimum 7 years experience and success in a comparable recruiting role, with a strong preference given to candidates with experience in East or West or Southern Africa, and additional demonstrated experience recruiting for relevant roles
  • 5 years of experience with candidate sourcing tools and methods
  • Experience managing others
  • Good knowledge of African recruitment practices
  • Experience in a global / multi country recruitments for senior positions
  • Experience in developing recruitment tools, systems, best practice for multi country operations

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree and professional HR qualification 

 Language(s): 

  • English
  • French is a plus

 Technology :

  • Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Knowledge in the creation and use of candidate pipelines
  • Experience working with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc)
