Job Description 

JOB PURPOSE 

To Promote and implements human resource values by planning and managing human resources functions. 

Key Result Areas/Main Responsibilities 

  • Provide overall guidance and direction to the HR areas of Reward, employee relations, and welfare, internal communication and engagement, performance and development, as well as recruitment.
  • Work together with the executive management in the annual review of company's compensation and benefits program
  • Drive internal communication and boost morale, communicate changes and updates on HR policies and procedures
  • Drive a people-related change management exercise
  • Manage complex relationships
  • Build a strong HR Team in the operation
  • A business partner for the management team
  • Develop and update on a regular basis, a strategic HR (action) plan that contributes to the overall company goals and plans and makes recommendations for improvement of company policies, procedures, and human resource related issues.
  • Deliver the HR KPIs
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensure company's compliance
  • Develop and implement a development programme to ensure the structured training and development of employees
  • Ensure fully compliant with SOX requirements 

Qualifications 

Education background. 

  • University degree, HRM, Sociology, Psychology oriented
  • MBA is a plus 

Skills& Knowledge 

  • Knowledge of the Tanzanian Labour Law is a must
  • Has experience in complex change processes
  • High integrity and strong character
  • Extensive experience in the HR field, experience in the business is a plus
  • Ability to be innovative, think outside the box and challenge the status quo
  • A good commercial / financial background
  • Have problem-solving and Analytical Skills, can think on a strategic level
  • Excellent human relations and communication skills
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of HR concepts and application of tools and models
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in HR
