MAIN JOB PURPOSE
 
Responsible for amongst other things finance, logistics, assets, data management and general coordination of non-clinical MOH operations and SHE.
 
JOB SUMMARY

  • Responsible for the preparation, management, and control of Tshs. 800-950 million annual medical budget.
  • Responsible for the daily accounting transactions and documents such as approval of the invoices and cash expenditures.
  • Participates in the administration of partner funds such as preparation of work plans, budgets, and accountability.
  • Responsible for the compilation of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
  • Initiates and controls capital expenditure for hospital facilities, machines, and equipment.
  • Responsible for the procurement of all hospital merchandise such as drugs, reagents, food supplies, machines, and equipment.
  • Monitor the usage of hospital consumables through the monthly tracking system.
  • Responsible for the processing of payments to suppliers through verification and approvals of the relevant documentation such as invoices and delivery notes.
  • Manage and control the recruitment of medical staff.
  • Responsible for the dissemination of information to staff within the department through departmental meetings, in-house training, and workshops.
  • Responsible for the personnel establishment, employee records and leaves management within the department.
  • Responsible for verification and approval of payroll records for employees’ salaries and wages.
  • Responsible for the performance management and development of any direct reports.
     

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors degree in Medicine, Medical and Occupational Health/ Public Health, Business Management, Social Sciences or any other business-related field or equivalent experience
  • Preferably at least 5 years experience in a senior administrative position
