HR and Administration Manager

HR World Ltd on behalf of our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for a HR and Admin Officer who will work closely with the HODs & senior management team to formulate the company’s human resources strategy in line with the company’s strategic objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the HODs & senior management team to formulate the company’s human resources strategy in line with the company’s strategic objectives.
  • Ensuring compliance with legal, contractual or statutory procedures on personnel management.
  • Define recruitment policy, job profiles and manage the interviewing and induction process.
  • Handling the disciplinary process in line with the Employment & Labor Relations Act of Tanzania.
  • Ensure proper communications between the management and staff through representatives or Trade Union.
  • Liaison with the Trade Union.
  • Organize, store and manage important documentation in both hard copy and electronic format through a clear and concise reference system.
  • Manage employee attendance, absences and leave records.
  • To enforce when necessary the importance to employees of complying with the HR policies, processes and procedures.
  • Liaise and collaborate with finance department in payroll related matters.
  • Take minutes of Meetings during the Union meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to Human Resources or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years similar experience within a HR & Admin function. Knowledge of Tanzania Employment & Labor Relations Act is a pre-requisite
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply the policies, procedures and processes of the HR department in a professional manner.
