JOB PURPOSE

The Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Officer is responsible for identifying, assessing and advising on risks arising from the workplace or work processes, recommending measures to eliminate or minimise and control the risks and implementing the measures.

PREFERRED EDUCATION

Degree in Health and Safety or Environment + OSHA Certification

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE

Emergency response knowledge

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

Over 2 years' experience in delivering HSE support/management in the Gas /Manufacturing sectors and OHS management

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitor and assess all accidents and incidents through the completion of detailed reports and follow up of recommended actions.
Ensure continuous HSE training and awareness programmes are maintained to reflect positive and compliant safety practices
Monitor and ensure waste management and segregation system, records are updated and ensure compliance as per government regulations.

KEY COMPETENCIES

Occupational, health & environmental risk analysis skills
Presentation and communication skills
Driving licence and good driving skills
IT literacy in all major office functions
