Overview:
HR World Limited on behalf of our client is seeking a QHSE Coordinator to lead, plan, organize, and monitor the implementation of quality, health, safety, and environmental management systems in Tanzania.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the strategic intent of the company on quality, health, safety, and environmental related issues.
- Interact with global quality, safety, health, and environmental role players.
- Create a framework for an integrated management system (ISO 9001, ISO 17025, ISO 17020, ISO 14001, OSHA, 18001, etc).
- Coordinate the formalization of documented management systems.
- Maintain labs and operations management.
- Tailor procedures and processes for reliability and maintainability.
- Coordinate quality, health, safety, and environmental related tasks within labs and operations.
- Assist line management with the implementation of relevant ISO systems.
- Create quality, health, safety, and environmental awareness at all staff levels.
- Provide training on quality, health, safety, and environmental related matters.
- Provide feedback to management on the status of QHSE at different sites.
- Schedule, plan, and perform internal audits and assessments.
- Follow-up on all corrective, remedial actions, and complaints.
- Create and implement a hazard, near-miss, and incident reporting and a corrective/preventative action system.
- Coordinate the formalization of a safety and environmental inspection program.
- Ensure legal compliance.
- Coordinate risk assessment.
- Manage medical surveillance and biological monitoring.
- Manage any government (regulatory and authorities) related quality, health, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Lead and facilitate H&S programs including incident investigations.
- Compile monthly Global Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental Report.
- Lead, coach, and develop appointees and Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental Representatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in a testing or production environment.
- Minimum 3 years of quality management system experience (ISO 9001, 17025, 17020).
- Minimum 3 years of safety and environmental management system experience (ISO 45001, 14001).
- Knowledge of management systems development, implementation, and audit.
- Senior position experience with multi-site and multi-task management.
- Lab operations experience will be an added advantage.
