Job Description

The Warehouse Inventory Coordinator is responsible for coordinating general warehouse operations and activities including shipping and receiving deliveries, conducting stock checks, documenting warehouse transactions and records, and storage of inventory.

Operational and systematic, he/she is also responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the material handling equipment. He/she is expected work with internal and external stakeholders to accomplish his/her work.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Procurement officers to order and receive items andcarry out documentation of stock and stock reconciliation
  • Comply to safety, health, and operational quality standards.
  • Conduct safety and health risk assessment.
  • Coordinate arrangement or rotation of warehouse cargo and items.
  • Coordinate cargo or material handling security procedures.
  • Coordinate department's incident or crisis management initiatives.
  • Coordinate trans-shipment and trans-loading operations.
  • Execute measures to address operational shortfall, maintenance, or repair needs.
  • Execute operations according to different warehousing situations and contingencies.
  • Facilitate compliance of height, weight, and special handling requirements in stacking, moving, arranging items on pallets according to storage plan.
  • Implement methods and techniques to manage dangerous goods.
  • Verify and track received inventory and complete inventory reports and logs.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the management or supervisors.
  •  Must be organized.

  • Implement methods and techniques to manage time and temperature sensitive cargo.
  • Perform stock control and housekeeping operations of warehouse cargo and items.
  • Review warehousing quality issues in a timely manner.
  • Suggest Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) solutions to address localised shortcomings in existing processes.
  • Track cargo handling schedules to ensure timelines are complied with.

 

Key Qualification, Specifications and Experience

  • Minimum qualification of a Certificate in Store Keeping/Management.
  • A minimum of 3yrs proved professional experience.
  • Must be organized and punctual
  • Proficient in Microsoft office i.e., Microsoft word, excel and power point.
  • Be able to ride a Motorcycle and have a valid Driving License
  • Well-presented and professional.
  • Prior experience in stock management is preferable
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to live in rural area.
