Job Position: LAND SURVEYOR COORDINATOR
Job Description
Qualification required: Degree in Valuation and Land Survey is required.
Minimum experience: 10-15 years of professional experience in Land Valuation and Land Survey, Housing in rural communities required.
Accountabilities: Responsible to ensure that all valuation works required for replacement land are undertaken including all associated activities

Responsibilities:
- Assist with preparation of field mission (logistics, paperwork);
- Prepare and supervise preparation of all data, charts, plots, maps, records and documents related to surveys.
- Lead on field land survey activities conducted by Company.
- QA/QC datasets, maps and field reports to certify and assume liability of work performed.
- Support Valuation team to ensure accuracy of data including measurements and calculation conducted at survey sites.
- Provide inputs for preparation of land survey guidance documents and procedures.
- Ensure the results of field survey findings are captured and recorded in a consistent manner.
- Provide inputs into the preparation of Compensation Agreements.
- Liaise with Replacement Land and Compensation Agreements contractors, Company and other service provider’ teams to ensure Contractor’s scope is well understood and respected.
- Provide support to Compensation Agreements, Payments and Replacement Land Survey team to issue Notices of Intention to Acquire.
- Support Livelihoods Restoration team identify residential land parcels and suitability of land parcels to be used for Relocation Housing.
- In conjunction with Resettlement and Livelihoods Restoration Team; lead on planning and implementation of land delineation and cadastral surveys, including getting input from District Authorities to ensure that cadastral requirements are met.
- Work closely with Company GIS and Contractors’ GIS to ensure data are transmitted.
- In-conjunction with Livelihoods Restoration team confirm ownership and acquisition process of identified land parcels.
- In-conjunction with the Resettlement and Livelihoods Restoration team engage Authorities and communities about the use of Replacement Land for Relocation Houses for physically impacted PAP’s.
- Liaise with the Resettlement Planning team and Land valuation teams for submission of all valuation reports to the Chief Valuer for approval; In-conjunction with the Resettlement and Livelihoods team, ensure that Replacement Housing Contractor receives all require documents (ROO, permits etc) required to commence Replacement House construction.
- Coordinate field findings with the work of engineering and construction team and other concerned team involved in replacement housing construction.
- Assist the Resettlement Planning team to compile a database of assets and valuations, including valuation schedule to be used to inform the entitlements and to present to relevant Authorities and Communities.
- Attend RAP implementation Contractors’ meeting as required
- Attend specific training as required
- Produce daily, weekly, monthly progress reports.
Requirements:
- Familiarity or experience in Tanzanian Valuation legislation, codes, and practices required
- Familiarity with International Valuation requirements preferred
- Familiarity with Land acquisition and Resettlement Process preferred
- Familiarity with National and International regulations and requirements standards
- Proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines required
- Proven computer and analytical skills required
- Fluency in English and Swahili (written and spoken) required,
