The Academy provides training services to some of the major industries in Tanzania which include mining, logistics, telecommunications, agriculture lubricants manufacturing, government, pharmaceuticals, cement, forestry, as well as food and beverage

Position Objectives

SGS Academy – Lead Auditor is responsible for performing audits and training including designated certification functions of management system standards in accordance with SGS Global and Product Procedures

Key Responsibilities

·         Perform initial, renewal and surveillance audits including designated certification functions fo the management system standards in line with the Global Key performance indicators

·         Prepare audit and tracking reports including on-time submission of the same

·         Follow up and responding to audit and training queries on time(as per KPI)

·         Participate and perform level 1&2 audits in accordance with the Global procedures

·         Act as a focal person in monitoring audit reports submission tracker

·         Operate in liaison with the Senior back office administrator and CBE Operations manager in the resolution of audits and training matters

·         Performs other duties or responsibilities which may be assigned by the management

Educational Background

·         The successful candidate must have a minimum of a Bachelor degree in Science/Engineering or equivalent from an accredited University

Experience

·         A proven work experience of at least three years in manufacturing  industries, construction, mining, services industries / consultancy firms or similar

·         Audit experience in manufacturing, construction, mining, etc

·         Qualified as a lead auditor in either ISO 9001 or ISO 14001 or OHSAS 18001 or both

Other required personal attributes/skills

·         Demonstrated high interpersonal communication and presentation skills

·         Proven data analysis, problem-solving and decision-making skills

·         Ability to set SMART objectives and KPIs and make strategies to achieve them

·         Process and procedures are driven

·         Self-initiative

·         Demonstrated team participation and managerial skills

·         Ability to use English language effectively in writing, speaking and listening

·         Proficient computer user i.e  MS office

·         Driving license at least class/category B and D
