The Arusha international conference center (AICC) was established under the public corporation act NO. 17 of 1969 by a Presidential Order through government Notice number 115, published on 25th August 1978. The Center is wholly owned by the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania and operates under the purview of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East Africa Co-operation.
Answerable to SENIOR MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN - ELECTRICAL
(i) Assist in the maintenance and repair of Centre’s facilities
(ii) Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors
(iii) Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance services
(iv) Ensuring inspections of conferences and offices are done according to the
laid down procedures
(v) Monitor and maintain all building systems as assigned
(vi)
Ensuring that maintenance and repair are done properly and
professionally
(vii) Repair and replace worn out or damaged property
(viii) Keeping records for every maintenance and repair works undertaken
(ix) Performing any other duties relevant to the scope of work that may be
assigned by assigned by the supervisor
Holder of Form IV/VI certificate of Secondary Education with Full Technician
Certificate and Ordinary Diploma (National Technical Award Level VI) in
Electrical Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized institution with at
least three years’ experience in a similar position.
Terms of Employment: Contractual basis
