Manager-Community Development(1 position)

Required Qualifications:

A holder of a masters degree in community development, veterinary medicine, livestock science or similar related field from a recognized institution

Experience:

The candidate must have at least seven years working experience of which five years in a senior/managerial position.

Age:

The applicant should not exceed 44 years of age

Terms of Employment

This post is of 3 years contract renewable upon successful performance.


Reporting Relationship:

The community development manager report to the deputy conservator for conservation, community development and tourism, for the execution of daily responsibilities.


Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • To prepare annual action/ work plans against budgeted activities of the department
  • To co-ordinate and supervise the execution of all activities under the department
  • To ensure the existence of harmony between the authority and the communities within Ngorongoro conservation area Authority(NCAA) and in the neighborhood
  • To prepare monthly, quarterly and annual department performance reports
  • To oversee all matters related to wildlife/livestock disease outbreak in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area(NCA)
  • To advise the management and the community on how best to improve the quality of livestock in terms of higher productivity and genetic potential
  • Coordinate and follow up collection, analysis and advice on socio-economic aspect of the NCA pastoral communities
  • To ensure the provision of quality extension services to the pastoral communities
  • To perform any other duty as may be assigned by his/her superior.

Salary and Remuneration:

This position has a salary scale of NGSS 15 (NCAA Salary Scales)
