Marketing Officer at Simusolar
Role Summary
The Marketing Officer will contribute to developing marketing strategies by designing and implementing marketing plans for Simusolar Products, conducting market research, identifying areas for improvement in product offerings, sales tactics, marketing strategy, and promotional activities. The role also involves supporting marketing efforts with grant and development partners.

Location
Dar es Salaam, Tanzania (travel required).
Reporting
This position reports directly to the Co-CEO. Significant interaction and collaboration with other departments, including Hardware, Engineering, Field Service, Credit, Customer Care, Operations, Marketing, Sales, and Finance, are expected.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Building brand awareness and generating leads while managing internal and external marketing campaigns and programs.
- Building, implementing, and enhancing national marketing initiatives to maximize outreach and sales.
- Developing insights on marketing campaigns to assess performance against goals.
- Overseeing the production of advertisements, promotional materials, and mail campaigns; approving marketing materials (website banners to brochures and case studies).
- Reducing marketing costs by streamlining roles, leveraging communications materials, monitoring budgets, and developing protocols.
- Collaborating with Sales Management to create best practices, marketing initiatives, and media positioning for vertical markets.
- Handling all ATL and BTL activities.
- Managing all Marketing Campaigns on Social Media.
- Providing regular reports on key performance indicators.
- Monitoring the marketing budget and providing updates.
- Building strategic relationships with key industry players, agencies, and vendors.
- Collaborating with different teams (sales, hardware, customer care, etc.).
- Regular meetings with customers to confirm satisfaction.
Minimum Requirements
- 3 years' work experience in Equipment sales, FMCG, Telecommunication, Insurance, Financial Services, or related industries.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field.
- Managed portfolio of corporate customers.
- Experience in key account management and sales.
- Solid knowledge of market research techniques.
- Thorough knowledge of social media and web analytics.
Prerequisites
- Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
- Good organization and planning skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Good Presentation & Negotiation Skills.
- Fluent in Kiswahili and English.
- Computer literacy with Microsoft Office Products.
