Marketing Officer - Zanzibar
Zanlink is seeking a dedicated Marketing Officer to join their team in Zanzibar for a 1-year renewable contract. This role is crucial for supporting the company’s marketing, branding, communications, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. The ideal candidate will play a key role in enhancing brand visibility, supporting internal marketing needs, and fostering meaningful CSR partnerships that align with the company’s strategic goals.
Role Purpose
The Marketing Officer will be instrumental in supporting the company’s marketing, branding, communications, and CSR engagement initiatives. The primary focus of this role is to strengthen brand visibility, provide support for internal marketing requirements, and cultivate strong CSR partnerships that are in line with the company’s strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities
A. Marketing & Brand Management
- Assist in the development and execution of comprehensive marketing initiatives.
- Ensure consistent branding across all communication platforms.
- Support the creation and editing of marketing collateral, including brochures, flyers, posters, and digital content.
- Verify branding compliance for both internal and external documents.
B. Digital Marketing
- Manage and update the company's social media profiles with approved content.
- Monitor social media activity and provide relevant insights to management.
- Assist with basic website updates and content posting.
- Track digital performance metrics and generate monthly reports.
C. Market Research & Analysis
- Gather and compile market intelligence and industry trend data.
- Prepare monthly summary reports to aid strategic planning.
- Identify opportunities for brand enhancement and potential CSR partnerships.
D. CSR Partner Engagement
- Develop and maintain robust relationships with CSR stakeholders.
- Coordinate communication with CSR partners and oversee project progress.
- Document CSR activities, outcomes, and prepare internal reports.
- Collaborate with management to ensure CSR efforts align with brand and community objectives.
E. Internal Marketing Support
- Provide marketing materials and communication support to internal teams.
- Liaise with suppliers for printing, branding, and marketing materials.
F. Administrative & Reporting
- Prepare monthly reports on marketing and CSR activities.
- Maintain organized records of campaigns, CSR activities, and partner communications.
- Undertake any other marketing-related tasks as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in marketing, CSR coordination, communications, or related fields.
- Previous experience working with NGOs or community organizations is considered an advantage.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in social media management tools.
- Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva, Photoshop).
- Competence in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to produce clear and concise written reports.
