Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
The monitoring and Evaluation Officer will support the organization in all monitoring and evaluation of activities undertaken by KTO. Successful candidate will support the Organization M&E manager in designing, and implementing the comprehensive M&E plans with appropriate indicators.
Reports to: M&E Manager
Major Responsibilities:
- Providing support to the M&E Manager on monitoring, evaluation and learning
- Assist the M&E Manager with development of the M&E Plan for programs, including indicator selection, target setting, reporting, database management, and developing M&E and/ performance monitoring plans.
- Supporting data collection, collation, storage, analysis, and reporting, ensuring that data is of high quality and audit worthy.
- Responsible for supporting the preparation and review of program reports in collaboration with M&E Manager.
- Manage research activities and ensure outcomes and lessons learned are integrated into the program and shared with relevant stakeholders.
- Support the M&E manager to pprovide training and mentoring to partners and staff to ensure the implementation of strong M&E systems.
- Provide inputs, information and statistics for quarterly, annual and other reports
- Support monitoring and evaluation of specific programmers;
- Assist in the development of M&E tools and in supporting program team in their use.
- Perform other duties as required;
- Prepare and maintain data base
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in statistics, Social Sciences, demographics, public policy, international development, economics, or related field.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in managing monitoring and evaluation for complex development activities and projects in the region, including working with donor programs
- Experience in strategic planning and performance measurement, including indicator selection, target setting, reporting, database management, and developing M&E and/ performance monitoring plans.
- Knowledge of the major evaluation methodologies (e.g., qualitative, quantitative, mixed method, and impact) and data collection and analysis methodologies.
- Experience in designing and managing beneficiary monitoring and database systems.
- Fluency in English and Kiswahili is required.
- Demonstrate ability to work effectively with communities, civil society, local government representatives and other stakeholders
- Excellent relationship building skills and experience in a highly collaborative environment with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
Duty Station:
KTO Head Office, Dar es Salaam with frequent travels to various project sites and FDCs across Tanzania.
