We are recruiting for a skills programme, which aims to enable East African women, men and young people to gain employment and economic opportunities in resource-based industries and adjacent sectors. It will qualify vocational education and training (VET) students and graduates for jobs in the supply chain of upcoming natural resource investments and adjacent sectors, through the establishment of two career centers at public VET institutions and the provision of short technical courses according to the needs of the private sector.


Job Title: National Industry Linkage Advisor/Job Scout

Location: Tanzania

Duration: 22 person months each

Job Description

The National Industry Linkage Advisor/Job Scout will:

  • Develop partnerships with employers which will lead to job and internship placements for graduates
  • Implement employee services including vacancy postings on job online platforms, pre-selection of candidates and employer stands at the career fair
  • Organise and facilitate employer breakfast meetings

Job Requirements:

 

  • Minimum of a Bachelor degree in business administration, economics, management or social sciences, education or other relevant fields
  • Minimum of 7 years working experience in the private sector or the TVET system, experience in networking, coordination or cooperation with the private sector
  • Working experience in Tanzania or East Africa obligatory
  • Excellent spoken and written English and Kiswahili is obligatory
  • Driving license category B
  • Right to live and work in Tanzania/East Africa
  • Available to resume work on the 18th of March 2018
