Tanzania Teachers’ Union (TTU), which operates in Tanzania Mainland only. is a registered trade Union that recruits its members from the teaching profession and it has full-time staff in every region. In Order to improve its Services to its members, the Union seeks to recruit dedicated, self-motivated, highly committed and well-experienced staff to fill the following vacancies based at its headquarters in Dar es Salaam:-

OFFICE CLERK (MESSENGER)-I POST

Overall purpose

Even with business handling things electronically, many Companies still keep hard copy records and files. Thus office clerk (Messenger) manages the Organization^ documents by filing and parcels according to the System the Organization uses.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver messages, documents, packages and other items between Offices or departments within an establishment
• Perform simple duties like filling, copying and printing of documents.
• Deliver parcels and run errands
• Walk, ride bicycles or use public conveyances in order to reach destinations to deliver messages or material s
• Sort items to be delivered according to the delivery route
• Operates office machines, such as photocopies, Scanners and Personal Computers

Minimum Qualifications

• Form four level of education
• Certificate in secretarial and office practices, record management
• Teachers with qualifications mentioned under this post are highly encouraged to apply.

Skills

• Ability to cope with the basic knowledge of the Organization
• Ability to learn different location very fast

General Requirements

• Maximum age for an applicant shall be 45 years old.
• Applications should be accompanied by a detailed Curriculum Vitae with a maximum of three printed pages and certified and scanned copies of the Academic Certificates
