Operations Manager

Location: Moshi, Kilimanjaro

Employment Type: Full-Time

Industry: Manufacturing (FMCG – Soaps & Detergents)

Experience Level: Mid–Senior Level

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily factory operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, and logistics
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor production schedules to meet targets
• Implement strategies to improve productivity, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Supervise and support team leaders and operational staff
• Monitor performance metrics and prepare operational reports
• Manage inventory, supply chain coordination, and resource allocation
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives

Required Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in operations, business management, or a leadership role.
• Industry-specific experience in manufacturing

Required Technical & Soft Skills:

• Strong leadership, decision-making, and team management abilities.
• Expertise in business process optimization, supply chain management, and resource allocation.
• Proficiency in ERP software, CRM tools, and data analytics platforms.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and drive continuous improvement.
