Planning and Product Costing Manager
Job Summary
The Planning and Product Costing Manager is responsible for providing planning, product costing, and inventory control support to optimize profitability for the company in line with financial policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Contributes annually to developing the 5-year strategic plan by analysing sector and industry trends, competitive threats, projecting customer demand for volume, cost performance, pricing trends and gross margins.
- Manages the standard costing model and physical accountability from point of purchase through to sales delivery using various operating systems including IFAS, TOPS, SAP and QlikView.
- Ensures stock balances are reconciled between the Collateral Manager, Dry Storage and Green Storage and investigates and resolves any noted variances in a timely manner.
- Prepares budget reforecasts and runs inventory valuation in line with new cost parameters
Qualifications and Requirements
- A Degree in Economics/Accounting with CPA/ACCA.
- 6+ years of experience in planning and product costing, financial accounting or manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of financial and operation systems.
- A Post Graduate Degree in Business Administration or Economics will be an added advantage
