Pyxus Agriculture Tanzania Limited is in the process of acquiring an Edible Oil mill and Refinery in Dodoma as part of its diversification strategy and is now recruiting for key positions for this venture. The successful applicants will be sitting in the engine of growth as we shape our future together.

Job Summary:

The job provides information to oversee and manage the full refining process of Edible Oil, to monitor equipment to ensure the efficiency, effectiveness of the Neutralizer, Bleacher and Deodorizer to minimize the losses hence achieve the expected field.

What you will do:

To oversee and manage the full refining process of Edible Oil, to monitor equipment to ensure the efficiency, effectiveness of the Neutralizer, Bleacher and Deodorizer to minimize the losses hence achieve the expected field. Also responsible for the safe operation, better usage of chemicals, basic maintenance, hygiene of the plant and troubleshooting of the facility’s equipment and instruments in compliance with TFDA, TBS and international Standards for edible oil refining process.

OIL REFINERY

• Reads, understands and interprets Oil refinery instructions daily, sets machines, runs machines to achieve plant efficiency, monitors machine set up to achieve the intended targets in line with Customer Specifications and oil refinery SOP’s
• Receives refining plan from the Processing Coordinator daily, understands the processing requirements, checks and interprets processing requirements;
• Sets relevant machines and allocates the appropriate parameters daily to suit the oil grade being processed in order to meet the intended targets/requirements;
• Programs and operates the system that operates the machinery, uses the system to start up the plant, shut it down and run the production of material;
