Required Experience: 3+ years 

Job Purpose 

Works under the direct supervision of the Head of Programs and with the support from technical specialists for Education to ensure quality planning and delivery of Girls Education Project activities, vocational training, utilization of financial and other resources, reviews and provides inputs as per the requirement of the position as well as manages project staff, fosters strategic relationships/partnerships with ministry of education, science and technology, and other relevant ministries, departments and or agencies, children/students, teachers, parents, school committees' and community-based structures 

Job Qualifications / Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Education, Community Services or a related field 
• Master's Degree in related fields is an added advantage 
• Experience in project management across a range of project types in education and children, youths and women's right is an added advantage
• Minimum of three years' professional experience with education projects/ programs with NGOs/government in Zanzibar. Hence, strong understanding of the Zanzibar contexts is an added value.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of children, youths and women's rights and experience of implementing/managing child protection and child rights governance interventions.
• Proven technical knowledge and skills in the field of participatory development, child participation and girls' education.
• Strong report writing skills Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural skills Verbal and written communication skills that are clear and concise in both English and Swahili
