  • Plans, organizes and directs activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems, and participates in project tracking, project reporting, procurement of goods and services.
  • Prepares contracts and negotiates revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements, with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Confers with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints and construction problems.
  • Inspects and reviews projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations.
  • Monitors and controls work progress; checks quality and quantity of site works including onsite physical measurements vs BOQ quantities to identify billable variations (VO).
  • Prepares and studies engineering design, drawings, BOQs and other documents and confirms specs.
  • Prepares engineering design by collecting and studying project concepts, reports, maps, architectural and other drawings, blueprints, aerial photographs and tests on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and related topographic / geological data.
  • Determines project costs by studying job specifications, calculating labor, material, and related costs, and submits budget estimates, progress and cost tracking reports.
  • Produces engineering documents by developing construction specifications, plans, and schedules.
  • Confirms adherence to construction specifications and safety standards by monitoring project progress, inspecting construction sites, and verifying calculations and placements.
  • Fulfills project requirements by advising and guiding subcontractors, technicians, and other technical personnel.
  • Takes actions to deal with results of delays, bad weather or emergencies at the site.
  • Complies with regulatory and legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; and advising management on needed actions.
  • Maintains project database and implementation plans
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Identifies project risks and proposes mitigating measures.
  • Responsible for project closures (acceptance testing, snags validation and addressing, preparation of as-built documentation and final handover to clients).
  • Attends to all other duties as may be assigned by Management.
