HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation is a Swiss IN60 actively contributing to the improvement of the living conditions and status of economically poor and socially disadvantaged people in more than 33 developing countries. Water and Infrastructure, Rural Economy, Environment and Climate, Education and Skills Development, and Governance and Peace are the main areas of focus of HELVETAS. HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation has been working in Tanzania for more than 20 years. Currently, it runs projects in central corridor regions and the northern part of Tanzania.

YES project overall objective is to empower and improve the living conditions of economically and socially disadvantaged (marginalized) young women and men in Tanzania through improved skills and gainful employment. Many young women and men in Tanzania lack soft and hard skills that match labour market needs. YES. will apply the innovative results-based financing approach to contribute to effective skills development and labor market insertion of disadvantaged youth. Interventions before, during and after TVET will help to ease the direct transition from schools via TVET to the employment market. The project will be piloted in Dodoma and Singida regions thereafter will be expanded in other regions including Dar es Salaam, Mwanza, Arusha regions.

Project Officer- Monitoring Evaluation & Learning (PO-M&E)

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Take lead in establishing appropriate monitoring system and implementation.
  • Develop and refine project M&E system to meet the reporting requirements, including knowledge management and coordinate its implementation to generate project results and learnings.
  • Facilitate to identify topics and conduct action research, capitalization of project experiences and management of knowledge generated.
  • Build the capacity of project and partner staffs on M&E. action research and knowledge management activities
