Recovery Officer

HR World Ltd, on behalf of our client, we are looking for a Recovery Officer who will be responsible for managing and safeguarding the company’s credit portfolio by ensuring timely collection of monthly installments, minimizing delinquency, and maintaining strong customer relationships in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely collection of monthly installments and proactively follow up with customers to prevent overdue payments.
- Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate recovery actions on delinquent cases in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Prepare and issue recovery letters, payment reminders, demand notices, and tax invoices for overdue customers.
- Conduct customer visits to address payment issues, negotiate repayment solutions, and resolve customer queries.
- Maintain professional communication with clients to ensure compliance with repayment obligations while preserving positive customer relationships.
- Handle restructuring requests, installment postponements, and contract modifications in line with approved company guidelines.
- Develop and maintain contingency plans to mitigate credit and operational risks.
- Ensure all recovery activities comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.
- Support internal and external audits related to recovery and collections activities.
- Prepare accurate daily, weekly, and monthly recovery reports for management review.
- Track and control monthly provisions and ensure proper documentation of recovery actions.
- Analyze portfolio performance trends and recommend improvements to enhance collection efficiency and portfolio quality.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in credit recovery, collections, or financial services.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and customer-handling skills.
- Ability to work independently, conduct field visits, and handle challenging situations professionally.
- Good understanding of credit risk, leasing contracts, and recovery procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications; experience with recovery or financial systems is an added advantage.
