Intensely evaluate the commercial performance and activity of Tanzania(TC) versus competitors in the market through analysis and subsequently make recommendations and quick actions to secure company position and take advantage on the face of threats and opportunities

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide timely, dependable market analysis on TC’s business environment, market situation, economic reviews and forecasts to identify potential opportunities & threats.
- Conduct route market studies and prepare business cases to guide decision-making on the performance of new destinations
- Maintaining an up-to-date database of the competitive environment in relevant markets, including:
- Evaluation and recommendation of potential partners
- Recommendation of TC response to competition activity
- Forecasting and budgeting of rout passenger revenue, in consultation with relevant departments
- Develop market and traffic forecasts to generate fleet plans and network scenarios
- To prepare annual passenger forecast for the annual revenue budget
- To conduct route performance audits & economic evaluation of network to determine network improvement opportunities
- Provide analytical support to schedules planning and other key resource areas to aid their planning
- Drive the development and production of routine reports that achieve efficient assessment of commercial performance(Key
- Commercial indicators e.g. ASK’s RPK’s, Cabin Factor etc)
- Provision of relevant statistical reports to other stakeholders like IATA, ICAO, and TCAA
- Regular analysis of competitor traffic uplifts, capacity, fares & frequencies per designated route.
PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
- Accurate market research and intelligence report
- Successful implementation of new network destinations
- Accurate, up-to-date and timely route analysis
- Viable & effective business cases for network changes and new destinations
- Timely reports on TC response to market opportunities and threats

Qualifications
- University graduate in commerce with a bias for statistics and economics
- Strong computer skills with data manipulation techniques
- Familiarity with airline economic concepts will be an added advantage
- Ability to lead and co-ordinate teams
- Strong analytical research skills
- Good negotiator and ability to influence
- Conversant with scheduling and commercial planning tools
Remunerations:

Terms of Employment
Three years contract(renewable) upon success for the position of Senior Business Analyst
