Senior Credit Analyst

HR World Limited, on behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Credit Analyst responsible for leading complex credit assessments, strengthening credit risk processes, and supporting sound credit decision-making within the institution.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the credit assessment process by reviewing high-value or complex loan applications and providing expert recommendations to support sound credit decisions.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior credit analysts, ensuring consistency in analysis quality and supporting capacity building within the credit team.
• Enhance credit evaluation models and tools by identifying gaps, proposing improvements, and supporting implementation to strengthen the risk assessment process.
• Participate in credit committee meetings by presenting detailed analysis, justifications, and expert insights to facilitate informed approvals or declines.
• Support strategic portfolio growth by identifying opportunities for quality lending and advising management on potential market risks.
• Contribute to the development and strengthening of long-term credit strategies aligned with institutional goals and risk appetite.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking, Economics, or any related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in credit analysis within a Microfinance Bank or Financial Institution.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and decision-making skills.
• High level of integrity and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and provide sound professional judgment.
