Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensuring Compliance: Making sure that all declarations comply with local, national, and international customs regulations.
2. Documentation Review: Checking and verifying the accuracy of all documentation related to customs declarations, including invoices, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
3. Classification of Goods: Correctly classifying goods according to the Harmonized System (HS) codes for customs purposes.
4. Liaison with Customs Authorities: Acting as the main point of contact between the company and customs authorities, handling inquiries and audits.
5. Training and Supervision: Training and supervising declaration officers or staff involved in the customs declaration process.
6. Record Keeping: Maintaining comprehensive records of all declarations and related documentation for auditing and reporting purposes.
7. Risk Management: Identifying potential risks in the customs declaration process and implementing measures to mitigate them.
8. Process Improvement: Continuously seeking ways to improve the declaration process for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Candidate Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Clearing and Forwarding or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in customs declaration and a proven track record in a supervisory role.
