STAMIGOLD Company Limited – Biharamulo Mine is a subsidiary company of the State Mining Corporation(STAMICO) operating a gold mine. The Mine is located in the Biharamulo Forest Reserve, South West of Mwanza in Kagera Region. In order to run the mine effectively and efficiently.

Senior Internal Auditor-(01) Post-(Re-advertised)
Work Station: Biharamulo Mine Site
Contract Duration: Two years, subject to renewal

Duties and Responsibilities (to be reviewed)

Reviews compliance with company governance regularities and management of risks;
Recommends an efficient and effective internal auditing systems and procedures for the Company;
Reviews all policies, regulations, procedures and advises the Company accordingly;
Conducts reviews on company compliance to the business plan;
Conducts internal audits of the Company and assess degree of adherence to the agreed programs, policies and regulations;
Appraises operational and financial policies and regulations with a view of strengthening the internal control system to safeguard the assets and liabilities of the Company;
Prepares and implements audit plans;
Conducts performance audits on development projects;
Prepares and circulates periodic fact sheets on Internal Auditing, Information of general and specific interest to the Company;
Designs audit objectives, logistics, schedules and scope;
Designs and evaluates internal controls and operating practices;
Develops practical solutions to problems arising in business and financial operations;
Creates audit schedules and plans for the internal audit staff;
Leads, directs and guides junior staff and subordinates;
Reviews and evaluates audit programs to achieve audit objectives;
Designs and initiates auditing techniques, practices and benchmarks for the audit staff;
Reviews and evaluates adequacy and effectiveness of the systems;
Assesses the audit findings and initiates corrective measures to ensure effectiveness in financial system of operations;
Prepares audit reports including the audit findings and appropriate corrective actions initiated;
Performs any other duties as might be assigned by the immediate

Minimum Qualifications

Holder of CPA (T) and must be registered with NBAA with at least five (5) years post qualification experience, two (2) of which must be in senior
Possession of computer application skills in relevant accounting computer packages is
