Job Purpose
The incumbent will be responsible to drive the business to a more customer-centric perspective by providing research expertise within the business, turning qualitative/ quantitative research into actionable big picture insights and strategy for stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities:
- As the strategic market research lead, consult widely on briefs, providing deep knowledge, experience and technical expertise and best practice advice on approach, incorporating both traditional and innovative methodologies of research.
- Through the design, execution, analysis, and presentation of research studies help the business better understand consumers and directly inform areas such as product/offer strategy, brand, and communication strategy, convenience and loyalty offers and investment prioritization across the bank.
- Working closely data and analytics experts & other stakeholders within the bank, by instrumentally delivering customer-centric products & solutions, championing the voice of the consumer and driving their customer journey work using your qualitative research findings.
- Advocated the design research practice by tailoring research tools, methods, deliverables, and in-field networks to best embrace the research goals, participants, and environment.
- Use online market research and catalog findings to databases
- Provide competitive analysis on various companies’ market offerings, identify market trends, pricing/business models, sales and methods of operation
- Evaluate program methodology and key data to ensure that data on the releases are accurate and the angle of the release is correct
- Remain fully informed on market trends, other parties researches and implement best practices
- Assist in developing and designing market-driven products in collaboration with Innovation, Emerging technology &Fintech and Change Delivery team.
- Assist in conducting market surveys for financial services to access the market information for entire banking products and services
- Ensure the development of a high- performing team through embedding performance culture and informal coaching.

Qualifications and Experience:
- A holder of University Degree or equivalent qualification in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing
- Statistics, Math, Computer science, Social Science or Research
- Over 8- 10 years of experience in Research
- 5 years of experience in a managerial role
- Experience in digital leading projects in finance/banking industry will be an added advantage
- Extensive experience with project management/change management
