POSITION: Senior Reservoir Engineer

REPORTS TO: Managing Director
JOB LOCATION: Dar es Salaam
JOB PURPOSE
The Senior Reservoir Engineer will lead the reservoir management activities playing a crucial role in optimizing gas production from the Songo-Songo license. The individual will ensure efficient transformation of petrophysical and geological data into dynamic reservoir models to forecast gas and condensate production in support of continued economic field development.
PREFERRED EDUCATION
Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE
- Strong knowledge of reservoir engineering principles, reservoir simulation, software (construction and running of reservoir models for both history matching and forecasting purposes), and data analysis techniques.
- Advanced user in reservoir simulation software and familiar with IMEX, GAP,
- PROSPER and MBAL, with hands-on experience within the last two years.
- Knowledge of Python, Excel VBA is beneficial.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience and a proven track record of successful reservoir management and development with a focus on gas fields is required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the reserves management process and production forecasting in support of the annual business strategy and plans; ensuring any material changes are communicated effectively.
- Manage incoming and outgoing communications on behalf of the MD/DMD, including phone calls, and written correspondence. Draft and proofread documents, letters, and reports as needed.
