Comprehensive Community Based Rehabilitation in Tanzania (CCBRT) aims to be the leading provider of accessible specialized health services in Africa. CCBRT serves as a healthcare social enterprise through development programs in the community, focusing on the most vulnerable. Committed to preventing lifelong disabilities wherever possible, CCBRT is also engaged in extensive maternal and newborn healthcare (MNHC) activities, including obstetric fistula repairs. Its Maternity and Newborn Wing serves as a referral center for high-risk and emergency deliveries in the region of Dar es Salaam and the Eastern Zone of Tanzania.
To strengthen our IT and Business Applications Department, CCBRT is looking for a dynamic and experienced Software Developer.
The Role
A Software Developer shall use their software development experience to analyze, develop, integrate, and implement web, server, cloud, and client-based applications that provide clinical and business capabilities to the organization. You shall actively participate in all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC). The responsibilities encompass designing and building new software solutions, modifying existing applications to incorporate new features, addressing errors, and enhancing performance.
You shall also be expected to collaborate with team members, contributing to team processes that ensure software is designed to meet the rigorous operating standards vital for supporting CCBRT’s organization business processes and operations’ needs.
The Candidate
- BSc/BEng in IT/IS/Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Software Engineering or related field.
- Strong skills in front and backend programming CSS3, PHP, Python, Angular, JavaScript, HTML5, Bootstrap, jQuery, mySQL, MS SQL RDMS etc.
- Keen interest and good understanding of ICT systems, with the desire to develop knowledge & assist others.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (both English and Swahili).
- A pro-active attitude and eagerness to learn.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in software development.
