Position Available: Storeperson
Location: Geita Gold Mine, Geita
Position Purpose:
The Storeperson will be an integral part of the warehousing function, responsible for the operation of an efficient, safe, and secure warehouse facility. The role is crucial in ensuring a high level of material availability to the various operational departments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- The safe operation of various mobile equipment while loading, unloading, and delivering materials and equipment.
- Efficient, accurate receiving and issuing of all warehouse materials.
- Accurate data entry into the Pronto ERP system.
- Conduct stocktakes and cyclic counts as directed, ensuring high-count accuracy.
- Report all stock discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Maintain a high level of housekeeping within the warehouse and external storage areas.
- Comply with AUMS Geofields (T) Limited company policies, procedures, and standards.
- Assist in maintaining the security of materials within the warehouse and external storage areas.
Essential Requirements:
- Forklift, Integrated Tool Carrier, and Telehandler certificate or competency.
- Current Tanzanian driver’s license (Manual).
- Experience with Pronto or other ERP systems.
- A minimum of three years’ experience working in a warehouse environment within mining, earthmoving, or other associated heavy industries.
- Completion of secondary school.
- Advanced numeracy and literacy skills. Fluency in both Swahili and English.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft suite of programs.
- Current registration with the PSPTB.
