Role Overview
The Strategy Adviser, alongside the Secretary-General of the National Council of NGOs, will lead the development of NaCoNGOs five year strategy. You will use your strategic planning background to lead all elements of the strategic planning process including context analysis, participatory research, documentation, and approval.
Skills, Qualifications, And Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree business, development or a related subject.
Strategic planning
5+ years of experience on leading strategic planning development process and managing clients in a deadline-driven professional services environment.
Able to combine high-level strategy and analytical thinking with tactical creativity and flair.
Communication
Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to vary communication content and style to suit audiences to inform, motivate and inspire.
Builds mutually beneficial alliances and networks at senior levels
Analysis and creative problem-solving: proactive to deliver solutions to challenges, ability to identify the interest of stakeholders.
Ability to analyse and quickly grasp the fundamentals of a need.
Flexibility
Ability to be proactive in changing the environment of working, works under minimum supervision and keeps the targets on track under challenging environments.
Allowance and accommodation
All volunteers have an allowance paid in local currency. The allowance meets reasonable living expenses in the country, but will not be enough to send money home.
