JOB SUMMARY
The Logistics & Customer Facing Supply Chain Supervisor strategically plans and manages logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer services. He/she is responsible for controlling the movement of materials needed for production into the manufacturing process and out to warehouses, distributors, and others involved in getting the end product to our customers. He/she has to be able to manage finished goods, pick pack, and shipping so that it is available when needed to restock distributors or 3PL warehouses while keeping transportation and warehousing costs low.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics Operations
- Organize FG warehouse operations, order picking operations, and shipping operations.
- Respond and resolve problems concerning warehouse, transportation, or customer issues.
- Ensure all operations adhere to Law, Guidelines, and ISO requirements.
- Develop new strategies to streamline operations and reduce costs.
- Develop risk management programs to ensure continuity of operations.
- Direct inbound and outbound logistics operations, such as warehouse activities, transportation, safety, or logistics quality management.
- Work with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations, such as customer sales, order management, accounting, and shipping
- Select third-party services and *** negotiate contracts, rates, and services. ***
- Monitor product import and export processes to ensure compliance with interstate traffic laws and regulations or legal requirements of the Government.
Process Improvement
- Perform metrics reporting and data analysis to identify issues and opportunities for process improvement.
- Review global and national logistics reports for ways to improve efficiency
Order to Cash Processing
- Be responsible for the end-to-end Order to Cash process (except Receivables) to ensure high and reliable levels of service for customers
- Own Order Processing, to include order receipt, inventory validation, invoice creation, and customer confirmation
- Oversee the documentation process to ensure the correct documents are available for dispatch
- Manage customer-facing processes, including master data management, backorders, OTIF reason codes, customer communication, and liaison with EWS Sales
Operational Service Strategy
- Identify and execute opportunities to improve the flow of goods and information between EWS and customers to reduce cost and/or improve service and make EWS Supply Chain a competitive advantage
- Collaborate closely with EWS Sales and the customer to become the operational link and identify opportunities, such as VMI, collaborative planning, joint scorecards, order and truck optimization
- Segment customers based on their strategic value and willingness to collaborate and develop specific Operational Service Strategies aligned with EWS Sales
Customer Complaint Management
- Own the Customer Complaint process end to end, from receipt of the complaint, internal co-ordination of the response/resolution, and communication with the customer
- Closely collaborate with Quality, Sales and other departments to facilitate a response to the complaint
- Monitor progress, ensure timelines are met, and maintain good communication with the customer and with EWS Sales
- Develop and maintain complaints and claims tracking reports and communicate these with EWS Sales and the customer, as appropriate
Data Management and Reporting
- Ensure Data Integrity of Logistics Section
Safety Management
- Improve and monitor effective 5S Program, KAIZEN Programs.
People Management
- Manage KPIs and develop Logistics staff.
- Improve workflow and ensure that the Logistics team understands their duties or delegated tasks that will contribute to the success of the Company.
- Promote and drive Logistics staff work engagement.
Financial Management
- Create and evaluate Budget, Expenditures and Operations Logistic section
- Analyze the financial impact of logistics operations, such as warehousing management, 3PL management, and transportation management.
Key Success Factors
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or relevant field.
- Preferably with a minimum of 5 years of managing experience in related fields. ***
- In-depth knowledge of the consumer goods industry
- Solid understanding of logistics and inventory management
- Must have at least 2-3 years experience in warehouse operations
- Good interpersonal and people handling skills.
- Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and organizational activities
