AUMS (T) Ltd is seeking the services of a dynamic and driven individual to take on the responsibilities of a newly created role as SUSTAINABILITY MANAGER. The role is responsible for the continued development of policies and procedures that will enable AUMS to comply with Tanzanian local content laws and ensure AUMS’s sustainability as a preferred underground mining contractor within Tanzania.
To be successful in this role you must:
- Ensure that all relevant legal requirements related to local content are adhered to across all business functions, whilst keeping abreast of all relevant government guidelines and legislation.
- Raise legislative changes and any non-compliance with the management team, providing solutions for changes requiring implementation.
- Assist in assessing local third parties suitability for partnering as a Joint Venture and provide senior leadership with a shortlist of potential JV partners.
You can be expected to:
- Provide strategies in relation to Training, Research and Development, Investments in Infrastructure, Immigration and New
- Technologies that can contribute to the growth of Tanzanian content in the underground mining industry.
- Participate in management meetings and official government committee’s related to local content.
- Develop mechanisms and periodic reports on local content performance against the statutory requirements.
To be considered for this role you must be Degree qualified in either Legal/Finance/Commercial with experience in a multinational company and working closely with Tanzanian Government agencies.
A high level of financial/analytical acumen along with highly developed managerial skills will be highly regarded. The successful candidate will be a critical resource to the business and the remuneration package offered will reflect the importance.
