We are looking for a Trade Engagement Executive to join our team. 

Purpose of this role 

Plan, develop, coordinate and support Trade Marketing programs and activities in order to ensure that overall business objectives and strategies are achieved. Efficiently liaise and communicate with internal (particularly Commercial and Procurement) and external (3rd party suppliers and Agencies) partners to build strong relationships in order to facilitate the commercialization of key brand initiatives plus trade engagement activities and programs in line with the company’s guidelines and policies. 

Main Responsibilities 

Actively participate in the development of annual and ad hoc trade programs for trade programs with the objective to engage, activate, educate, measure and reward them in order for them to be focused on growing our brands. 

Ensure an effective feedback gathering mechanism on the executed programs and activities in order to prepare proposals for future improvements and amendments. 

Prepare “Business Update Presentations” for trade channels, including the consolidation and maintenance of all trade and compliance programs. 

Forecast POSM resource requirements aligned in supporting Marketing and Key Accounts strategies. Coordinate the agencies and suppliers, ensuring that materials are created and produced on time and cost effectively and dispatched to the warehouse; 

Operate an effective budget controlling/monitoring system/process, in line with company procedures and requirements. Provide regular update of the expenses to ensure cost control and compliance with budgets 

Analyse all data regarding the trade marketing operations in order to maintain and further improve the efficiency of the merchandising operations. 

Requirements/Skills 

College/University<>A University degree in Business Administration, Marketing or similar and already have a solid experience within a Marketing/Sales department in an international company having a similar position. Minimum 3 - 5 years in FMCG business process, planning, sales, marketing or analytical function. 

Experience in Project Management and strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook. 

Fluency in both spoken and written English and Kiswahili Good to excellent computer literacy especially in ERP/CRM/Database systems, Intermediate Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
