About the Role
The Underwriting Manager - General Insurance will be responsible for leading and managing the general insurance underwriting function. This role ensures sound risk selection, profitable portfolio growth, policy compliance, and the delivery of quality underwriting services.
Responsibilities
- Leading and managing the general Insurance underwriting function.
- Ensuring sound risk selection.
- Achieving profitable portfolio growth.

- Delivering quality underwriting services.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Insurance and Risk Management, Actuarial Science, or other related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Certification in Insurance.
- Reinsurance or underwriting certifications.
- Actuarial exposure (added advantage).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Leadership and management skills.
- Strong technical knowledge of the insurance sector.
