Africa Healthcare Network (AHN) is establishing the first dialysis chain across East Africa, dedicated to providing high-quality, life-saving dialysis at an affordable cost. We serve both the local patient population and individuals from neighboring countries lacking their own treatment centers.

AHN combines world-class technical expertise with practical operating experience in developing regions, addressing a critical need for quality dialysis treatment. While over 97% of patients requiring kidney disease treatment receive care in North America, less than 5% receive care in East Africa. AHN's mission is to enhance access to high-quality care at a reduced cost to patients, all within a sustainable business model.

Position: Warehouse Assistant

Reports To: Finance Controller

Location: Tanzania

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the warehouse compound, storage areas, and premises in a consistently clean, organized, and hygienic condition.
• Receive incoming drugs and medical supplies, verifying quantities and conditions against delivery documentation.
• Store drugs and medical supplies in designated locations according to the inventory management system and storage guidelines.
• Identify, segregate, and appropriately label damaged, deteriorated, expired, or near-expiry items to ensure accurate inventory control.
• Record, report, and escalate any discrepancies, damages, or shortages to facilitate corrective action.
• Ensure timely replenishment of stock at picking locations, adhering to established storage and stock rotation procedures (e.g., FIFO/FEFO).
• Accurately coordinate, assemble, and package clinic and warehouse orders for dispatch or shipment.
• Assist with periodic stock counts, audits, and inventory verification activities.
• Adhere to all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements pertaining to the storage and handling of medical supplies.
• Perform any other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Desired Competencies:

• Education: Certificate or Diploma in Warehouse Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, Procurement & Supplies, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Previous experience working in a medical, pharmaceutical, or healthcare warehouse is an added advantage.
• Basic understanding of inventory control, stock management, and medical storage procedures.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and strictly follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Language Proficiency: Good command of English (both written and spoken).
• Passion to work at AHN.
