WORKSHOP SUPERVISOR
INDUSTRY: OIL AND GAS
HR World Limited on behalf of our client we are seeking for an ambitious and highly-skilled candidate who will be responsible for the management of workshop staff, and ensuring all matters relating to mechanical services are achieved.
RESPONSIBILITIES;
• Lead and manage a team of mechanics and workshop staff, providing direction, training, and performance evaluations.
• Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork and high morale.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations
• Oversee the scheduling and execution of preventive maintenance and repair tasks for the fleet.
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize vehicle downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
• Conduct inspections and quality control checks to maintain high standards of workmanship.
• Coordinate daily workshop activities, including work allocation, resource management, and workflow optimization.
• Ensure timely completion of maintenance and repair tasks to support fleet readiness and operational demands.
• Manage workshop inventory, including ordering parts, tools, and supplies as needed
• Enforce safety protocols and maintain a culture of safety within the workshop.
• Conduct regular safety audits and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
QUALIFICATIONS;
• Bachelor Degree in Petroleum or chemical engineering, economic, marketing or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance or a related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Strong analytical, organizational, and creative thinking skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of data analysis and report writing.
• The ability to work under pressure.
