The GIZ programme "Employment Promotion for Women for the Green Transformation in Africa" (WE4D) aims to create jobs for women and support sustainable and inclusive economic growth in Tanzania through the promotion of renewable energies and circular economy initiatives. The political partner of the programme is Prime Minister’s Office Labour, Youth, Employment and persons with Disability (PMO LYED). WE4D focuses on sectors with significant potential for employment impacts for women while contributing to a climate-friendly economy. These sectors include renewable energy, circular economy, waste management, sustainable agriculture, aquaculture, and eco-tourism.

Responsibilities and Tasks
Financial Services
Advice
Support the conceptual development and implementation of new activities in the fields of access to finance.
Drive the programme’s communications and public relations to amplify its impact and visibility.
Management
Collaborate with the project team to ensure seamless technical, administrative, and financial implementation of key project components.
Take ownership of achieving project goals by delivering measurable and impactful results.
Act as the liaison for Tanzanian partners and contractors, fostering strong and effective relationships.
Oversee project monitoring and reporting to ensure timely updates while contributing to knowledge sharing and data management.
Guarantee that all project activities adhere to GIZ rules, standards, and compliance requirements.
Other/Additional Tasks
Spearhead communications and PR efforts to amplify the programme’s story and achievements.
Take on additional responsibilities and activities as needed, showcasing your versatility and commitment to the programme’s success.
Qualifications and Professional Experience
Educational Foundation
A higher-education degree in economics or related field.
Proven Track Record
At least 3 years of hands-on experience in project management, delivering results and driving success.
Communications Expertise
At least 3 years of experience in communications, including social media strategy and implementation.
Specialized Experience
Demonstrated experience in access to finance for small enterprises, including private sector cooperations.
Experience in designing business development services for small and medium enterprises.
Practical experience in managing and fostering innovation to drive impactful outcomes.
Skilled at navigating and managing relationships with diverse and complex stakeholders.
Experience in cooperation with the public sector is an added value.
Interpersonal & Cultural Skills
Proven ability to work effectively in diverse teams, with members from different cultural and professional backgrounds.
Fluent in Swahili and English, with excellent communication skills in both languages.
Digital & Technical Expertise
Strong working knowledge of digital tools and applications to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
