Application Engineer - Power Systems
HR World Limited, on behalf of our client, is seeking an Application Engineer - Power Systems to provide technical expertise in assessing, sizing, installing, and supporting power systems, including generators, ensuring alignment with customer needs and company standards.
Responsibilities:
Test and commission all generators, including AMF/ATS and sync panels.
Conduct load surveys, load sizing, and advise customers on the correct generator size for their application (using load analyzing tools).
Support the sales team with technical issues and alert them to new technologies or specific customer technical requirements.
Visit project sites to provide vital information to the sales lead.
Act as a consultant, supporting customers and subcontractors on technical issues.
Advise subcontractors on specific CAT installation standards for generators.
Gather technical information from the Contractors Registration Board on new/updated regulations and share it with team members.
Supervise subcontractors on project implementation, ensure site meetings are attended, and keep the manager informed.
Follow up on customer feedback related to product or installation work (after commissioning).
Conduct basic onsite customer training on operation, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting during and/or after commissioning.
Ensure all company property under the Application Engineer's custody is maintained in good condition and report any defects immediately.
Write and share clear, signed reports on all site visits or jobs, follow up on pending issues, and address customer complaints promptly.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
3 years of professional work experience in a related field.
Knowledge of electric power generation, generator installations, lEE regulations, and solar.
Attention to detail, good IT knowledge, communication, and negotiation skills.
