About Us
Zambia Cargo and Logistics Limited (ZCL) is a freight and forwarding service provider wholly owned by the Government of the Republic of Zambia under the Industrial Development Corporation in Lusaka, Zambia. ZCL is seeking a qualified and experienced Commercial & Corporate Affairs Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing the company’s commercial activities and corporate affairs, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory and corporate policies and procedures.
Job Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to promote Zambia Cargo’s brand, services, and market presence.
Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to shape marketing initiatives.
Oversee market research and data analysis to inform strategic decision-making.
Lead corporate communication efforts, including public relations, media relations, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
Manage the company’s brand image and reputation through consistent and effective communication.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry bodies, and the public.
Supervise and mentor the marketing and corporate affairs team, providing guidance and support.
Conduct performance evaluations and identify professional development opportunities for team members.
Prepare and manage the marketing and corporate affairs budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
Monitor spending and ROI on marketing campaigns and initiatives.
Report on budget performance to senior management.
Plan, execute, and oversee marketing campaigns, including digital, print, and outdoor advertising.
Monitor and analyze campaign performance, making adjustments as needed to achieve targets.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and public engagements.
Provide regular reports to senior management on marketing and corporate affairs activities.
Utilize analytics tools to measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts and corporate communication strategies.
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
7-10 years of experience in marketing, corporate affairs, or public relations, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role.
Experience in the logistics or transportation industry is preferred.
Working in the field is an added advantage.
