About the Role
We are seeking to recruit a Head of Sales - Light Duty Trucks responsible for leading and managing the sales function to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and strengthen customer and dealer relationships within the light duty trucks segment.
Responsibilities

Develop and implement effective sales strategies to grow light duty truck sales across the market.
Lead and manage the sales team, ensuring strong performance, productivity, and professional development.
Set sales plans and ensure the achievement of overall sales objectives.
Identify new business opportunities, key accounts, and partnerships to expand the customer base.
Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, fleet owners, government institutions, and private customers.
Oversee the full sales cycle including prospecting, negotiations, deal closure, and after-sales follow-up.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, pricing strategies, and customer needs to guide business decisions.
Coordinate with marketing teams to execute campaigns, promotions, and product launches.
Ensure proper management of dealer networks and distribution channels to maximize sales coverage.
Oversee preparation of sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis for management review.
Ensure sales operations comply with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
Work closely with finance and credit teams to support financing arrangements and payment collections.
Handle escalated customer complaints and ensure timely resolution to maintain customer satisfaction.
Support stock planning and coordinate with operations to ensure availability and timely delivery of vehicles.
Represent the company in industry events, exhibitions, and key stakeholder meetings.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum of 7 years’ experience in automotive sales, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
Strong experience in commercial vehicle sales, preferably light duty trucks.
Proven ability to lead teams, manage dealer networks, and drive business growth.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and customer relationship management skills.
Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems is an added advantage.
