About the Role
HR World Ltd, on behalf of our client, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resource and Administration Manager. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing the human resource and administrative functions of the organization. The goal is to foster a productive work environment and cultivate a skilled, motivated workforce that actively contributes to the achievement of organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Managing and updating HR records, with a continuous focus on improving the HRMIS and HR reporting systems.
Ensuring strict compliance with Tanzanian labour laws and diligently maintaining HR compliance registers.
Supporting the preparation and effective implementation of HR plans, budgets, and overarching HR strategies.
Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with pension, insurance, and employee benefit service providers.
Providing comprehensive support for recruitment, selection, and induction processes across all departments.
Reviewing and actively supporting the implementation of HR policies, procedures, and frameworks.
Supporting performance management processes and collaborating closely with departmental heads to enhance employee performance.
Maintaining robust employee welfare systems and fostering effective relations with employee associations.
Promoting effective employee communication and cultivating positive employee relations within the organization.
Supporting talent management initiatives, including the development of policies, processes, and procedures.
Assessing staff competencies, identifying crucial skills gaps, and recommending targeted training and development programs.
Supporting workforce planning, recruitment activities, and strategic staff retention initiatives.
Assisting in the development and implementation of succession planning strategies, aligned with the organizational structure.
Effectively handling disciplinary matters, grievances, and conflict resolution below the managerial level.
Supporting the implementation of employee health and safety standards in line with labor regulations.
Managing employee separation processes and conducting thorough exit interviews.
Overseeing procurement processes, including tendering, vendor prequalification, and supplier contract management.
Assisting in the budgeting for essential administrative items such as office supplies, furniture, and equipment.
Supervising supplier compliance with quality standards and contractual obligations.
Qualifications and Experience
A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
An MBA will be considered an added advantage.
Membership with a recognized Human Resource professional body is required.
A minimum of 4 years of proven experience in Human Resource management.
Strong knowledge of Tanzanian labour laws and contemporary HR practices.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and report writing skills.
Proficiency in both English and Kiswahili is essential.
