Legal Trainee - Intellectual Property & Corporate Law
Reporting to: Head of IP Department
We are seeking a highly motivated Legal Trainees to join our team. The succesful candidates will work closely with our experienced lawyers on a wide range of assignments, with a particular focus on Intellectual Property (IP), Corporate & Commercial Law, and Regulatory Compliance.
Responsibilities
Assist in drafting, reviewing and filing IP applications (trademarks, patents, copyright, and industrial designs).
Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions and briefs.
Support in handling client advisory matters relating to IP protection, enforcement, licensing and infringement.
Assist in drafting contracts, agreements, and corporate documents.
Participate in client meetings, case preparation, and court/registry appearances as required.
Provide adminstrative and professional support to senior associates and partners.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from a recognized university (Completion of Law School of Tanzania or awaiting admission is an added advantage).
Demonstrated interest or prior experience in Intellectual Property law (academical focus, internship or work experience)
Excellent writtem and verbal communication skills
High level of integrit, attention to detail and ability to work under minimum supervision.
Proficiency in MS Office and legal research tools.
