Mechanical Engineer
Job Responsibilities:
Experience with MEP(Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing) design of Fire protection systems in institutions, industrial and commercial places,
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously,
Coordinate with other internal engineering disciplines to achieve successful, functional and innovative designs for various clients,
Coordinate with other building disciplines (architectural, structural, electrical, civil, etc.) to ensure compatibility with the design intent,
Light travel for project meetings/site observations.
Perform field survey to document existing conditions and/or observation of construction activities,
Participates in client project requirement meetings and value analysis and basic cost estimating,
Conduct quality assurance and quality control on every project,
Engages in the development of a design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats,
Development of Plumbing and Fire Protection Drawings including fire sprinkler systems, fire hydrants, fire hose reels, fire pumping systems, water supply systems, wastewater collection systems and locating of pipe lines,
Design and documentation of Plumbing and Fire Protection systems,
Assists in the continued development and updating of standards and specifications for the plumbing and fire protection,
Required qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from recognized university or institute.
Excellent organization and planning skills,
A sound knowledge of engineering fundamentals,
Highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges;
Ability to multitask and to work effectively under pressure.
Fire systems design and maintenance is added advantage
He or She must possess a valid class D driving license
Strong computer skills and skilled in software typically used in plumbing/fire protection design (i,e. hydraulic calculations),
Strong working knowledge of building, plumbing and fire codes,
Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
AutoCAD,MEP and Revit Experience is a must,
3+ years’ experience designing and installation of plumbing and fire protection systems.
